If you’re looking for one of the best cities to visit for Foodies, you really need look no further than Blue Ridge, Georgia. The downtown area is bustling with so many amazing restaurants to choose from, and no matter what cuisine you love, you’ll find something that keeps you coming back again and again.

When my family comes to Blue Ridge, I’m always on the lookout for the best brunch. Something with delicious food, hand crafted cocktails, an awesome atmosphere, outdoor patio space when the weather in nice, and a good kids menu to boot. Black Sheep in Blue Ridge delivers on all counts!

About Black Sheep Blue Ridge

Imagine sitting under a 200-year-old Oak tree, in the shadows of the Historic Butt House while sipping a craft cocktail to live music overlooking the Appalachian mountains and downtown Blue Ridge. The soft chatter of patrons, drinks being made at the bar, and the scent of local ingredients being melded into something spectacular makes your mouth water and you finally begin to relax. This is Black Sheep!

Black Sheep Restaurant was founded in 1914 in the Historic Butt House in downtown Blue Ridge. Today, they are the best spot in Blue Ridge to get brunch, not just because of their refined, locally sourced menu, but also because they have the largest outdoor patio dining space in town.

Their seasonal menu of New Americana offers local tender steaks, fresh seafood, a Wine Spectator-recognized wine list, and plenty of local craft beer. You’ll find classic dishes like Cold Water Select Oysters alongside Ahi Tuna Tacos, Roasted Duckling, and of course- Southern Fried Chicken. This is farm to table with a new, refined twist. Ingredients are seasonally focused and fresh, and the restaurant works with local farms to procure their ingredients.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11am. Black Sheep’s brunch menu features new takes on all your old favorites. The Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle utilizes Nashville Hot Chicken alongside cream cheese glazed waffles with bourbon syrup and pecans. They elevate the everyday BLT by using salmon and candied bacon, accented with a delicious dill aioli. And if you visit on Sundays between noon and 3pm, you’ll be serenaded with live music featuring local favorite Trevor Ciongoli.

Black Sheep Happy Hour

Visiting Blue Ridge during the week? Definitely check out Black Sheep for their Happy Hour. All Sheep Bites are $9 Tuesdays - Thursdays from 4 pm - 6 pm, and feature delectable plates such as pork belly lettuce tacos, cheesesteak egg rolls, and crab cake sliders. And the hand-crafted cocktails are some of the best in town. Try the Georgia Peach, Smokey Sheep Old Fashioned, or the Maple Bourbon Smash.
