Craft Coffee and Tea in Blue Ridge Georgia

Mountain Mama's Coffee Lounge in Blue Ridge, Georgia is a craft coffee and tea bar that provides an intimate space to sip, bite, meet, work, or play. Anything BUT a big chain coffee shop, this place exudes good vibes, homemade food and flavors, and small town charm in an upscale way.

You’ll notice the difference from the moment you step in. Curl up by the fireplace in one of the lounge chairs, get to work on your laptop in one of the shared work spaces, or snag a seat on the patio to soak in the mountain views.

The other thing that sets this charming cafe apart is its menu. They have a strong commitment to creating exceptional flavors using locally sourced ingredients. All of their syrups, for example, are meticulously crafted from scratch, using whole ingredients. From classics like vanilla and caramel to more adventurous flavors like lavender or banana, every syrup is made with love and attention to detail. They describe their choice to make everything from scratch this way:

“By making our own simple syrups and flavors from scratch, we ensure that our customers are not exposed to these harmful artificial additives. Instead, we rely on natural ingredients like real fruits, herbs, spices, and natural sweeteners such as honey, maple syrup, or organic cane or coconut sugar to create our flavors. These ingredients not only provide a delicious taste but also offer added nutritional value, such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Making our own syrups and flavors also allows us to have complete control over the quality and integrity of the ingredients used. We prioritize using organic and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, ensuring that our customers receive the freshest and highest quality flavors in their coffee. We believe that this dedication to using whole ingredients translates into a more authentic and satisfying coffee experience for our customers.”

Their seasonal menu has everyday classics like the Cortado, Latte, or Macchiato, and those who just want straight coffee can choose from drip or french press. But they keep things interesting with their uniquely crafted specialty drinks. Their namesake the Mountain Mama is made with a double shot of espresso, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Other specialties include things like Fruit Loops (matcha, lavender honey) and Girl Scout Cookies (double espresso shot, coconut, almond and chocolate). For those not into coffee, they also offer a variety of Mushroom Steamers using mushroom powders from Paul Stamet’s Host Defense. They also offer a rotating menu of seasonal drinks. For Spring, you’ll be treated to things like Lavender Cold Foam Sha and Pitaya Lemonade. All of their drinks are prepared and poured by their meticulously trained baristas, so whether it’s a pour over or Mallow Fluff you’re after, you’re sure to be treated to an exceptional experience.

Their dedication to their craft extends to their food options, where everything they offer can be made vegan or gluten free. The café partners with The Folk Collaborative, a beloved local business, to provide freshly baked bagels, toasts and focaccia plates, along with other delectable sweet treats.

Mountain Mama is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat—it's a community hub where connections are made, friendships are formed, and a sense of belonging is fostered. It’s an awesome place for locals and visitors alike, and we highly recommend you stop in to say hello!
